Been around the Club all my life as a result of my Dad being a very active member of the club until he sadly passed away last year! I joined the committee this year as I wanted something back into the club that has given the ‘Morris’ family so much enjoyment over the years.
My motorsport background is primarily tarmac rallying related. Drove my first rally on my 19th birthday and never looked back. Have had various success up to national level. I still have the car that I started using for rallies in 1991, although of a much better specification these days.
On top of competing I have travelled the world a lot watching motorsport events to, mainly rounds of the World Rally Championship. I’ve been to over 50 rounds of the championship, visiting such countries as Argentina, Australia, New Zealand, Jordan on top of most of the European based events.
I also been lucky enough to have been to watch then Indy 500, Daytona 500, Monaco GP and Bathurst. Still plenty of events to go to though including Le Mans.
One thing to note I have no interest in working on cars!!!!
